First Journey

I'm on my own The noise and movement all around Just completes the isolation, I look to see if I have a label Am I that small child, alone-? Being sent to safety-somewhere? Then reality sets in I am alone about to take my first journey Without him by my side. The train glides noiselessly away Bearing me To this new experience A journey on my own. The little girl inside says "I am a woman, "I will do this" Live life as it is now; "I will survive"!
